'Occupy Green Hill Protest'
from 28 April 2012
As you can see from the following pictures, today's protest organized by our friends from 'Occupy Green Hill' in Montichiari against 'Green Hill', breeder of beagles for vivisection, was a huge success!
On the occasion of 'world day for animals in laboratories', THOUSANDS have flocked to the streets of Montichiari, Brescia, asking for "the immediate release of all 2,500 dogs locked up in what activists call a 'lager".
In an unprecedented blitz-raid, activists entered the breeding farm
and released at least thirty Beagles, mostly puppies!
This is an historic event for the Italian anti-vivisection movement.
The police could not stop the anger of the protesters who managed to penetrate inside and to free some dogs; people who remained outside the fence responded with shouts of joy and applause.
At this moment the situation is still very confused, we do not know how many dogs exactly were taken to a safe place, nor what were the repercussions against those who took part in the action. As it seems, at least 12 persons had been arrested.
We will update our page as soon as we know more.

In total, according to the Digos of Brescia, 13 people in custody. The offenses that are likely to be contested are robbery, burglary, resisting a public official corruption. Two slightly injured, including the Director of Digos. This preliminary assessment of the events which occurred this afternoon at the event in Montichiari anti Green Hill.
According to the police station in Brescia this afternoon there were about 1000 protesters. Among these activists about 300-400, you would then detached from the group heading for the hills of Green Hill.

As reported by investigators sources the fence, it seems that of the rear side, would have been torn with the use of tronchesse, then recovered and seized. Thirteen protesters entered the farm were placed in custody and transferred from the police station in Brescia and the Company Command of the Carabinieri in Desenzano. To be released, until tonight, was just one of them. This would be a minor. Only two of the protesters were stopped from Brescia.
Investigators suspect that the action may have been premeditated, or an outside group to distract the police, while the rear livestock people would act with tronchesse. Nevertheless, there are fun facts, like the protesters were wrong road heading towards a farmhouse.
About the dogs, the Digos of Brescia confirmation of the rumors circulating among the demonstrators. Dogs that has managed to take away from Green Hill would be between twenty five and thirty. Only 7:00 to 8:00 have been recovered by the Police and are currently distributed in various police stations. Green Hill, it seems, can no longer take them back as animals, animal first irruption, in isolation. According to sources it was learned that investigators are likely to be assigned to the ASL.
Police operations, coordinated by the Digos of Brescia, have seen the involvement of State Police, Local Police and Carabinieri Command Society of Desenzano. Perhaps also involved the Forest Guard.
According to information obtained from the protesters, among breeding dogs removed at least there would be an adult female dog. Then all puppies. Apparently, according to a veterinarian present among the protesters, the denomination took over the whole abdomen to the sternum and still had the stitches. All animals, according to information gathered on the spot, would have a strong smell of urine.
Intrigued by the fact that Green Hill, because as reported by some demonstrators did not use any protection. The door of the shed with the dogs actually seem to have been left open. Some protesters gathering around to confirm the Green Hill, especially after it was a rumor about collection of puppies. No resistance was opposed by the internal vigilance in Green Hill.
